Our tips for applying perfume!

We love everyone who uses perfume, but are we putting it on in the right way? How are you supposed to spray on perfume and on what surface? Today, we’ll share with you all of our tips!

On the skin…

The fragrance is nuanced depending on who wears it. Our genes, our level of stress, our diet, the medication we take, etc. it all influences our olfactory impression. So, the smell of the skin is changed and this will bring nuance to the smell of the fragrance when it is applied to the skin.

But where on the body? The warm areas of our body or the pulsating areas (neck, back of the neck, behind the ears, neckline, wrists) are the best places. In fact, they diffuse your perfume throughout the day. The joints are also a good place because when you move them, the volatile molecules of the perfume are released from your skin, thus putting its fragrance in the air.

Your hair is also a good place to apply perfume. As soon as you move, it becomes active and releases your delicate fragrance.

On your clothes?

If you do not want to apply perfume to your skin, then you can apply it to your clothing. But be careful because not all materials capture or absorb fragrant molecules. Synthetic fabrics do not release odours as well as natural fibers (silk, wool, velvet, cotton, cashmere).

But be careful not to stain your clothing if you have coloured perfume!

In the air!

Another technique is to spray your perfume in the air to create a fragrant “cloud” that you can then walk through.

What to avoid…

It’s best to avoid spraying your perfume on the parts of the body that perspire a lot. In fact, the perfume will dissipate and you won’t smell it anymore.

Do not rub your perfume on your skin because you might make certain notes of it disappear and then you won’t smell it any longer.

We hope that our advice will help you maintain the hold of your perfume over a long time. Feel free to share your tips with us in the comments section!
